An opportunity to discuss veterinary and associated matters with a small group of like minded owners. There will be the opportunity for one attendee to bring one or two birds. This is to minimise the spread of infections between flocks.
You will be expected to bring at least one question and a sample of your birds droppings.
Subjects:
These will vary and be adapted to the knowledge and experience of the attendees but could cover the following:
- Housing
- Management
- Nutrition
- Handling
- Examining
- Beak, claws and spurs
- First aid
- Parasite control – worms, mites, lice
- Vaccination
- Veterinary Health Plan
You will need to bring:
1. At least one dropping sample per bird up to a maximum of 12 droppings. These can be placed in
a freezer bag and labelled with your name and flock details.
